Hey Monday @ The Knitting Factory
In addition to Kids and Travel, I also love shooting bands (and, heck, promoting good ones) and I've been itching for a while to shoot Hey Monday, a really great pop/punk/rock/awesome band from West Palm Beach, Florida. I've been digging them since August and they're catching on pretty fast thanks to their talent, their great album, and getting onto some really great Tour rosters (I caught them with The Cab in September and with The Academy Is... and We The Kings in October. They're currently doing an acoustic tour with We The Kings for Hot Topic and they've done some free shows for Myspace and Imeem with Metro Station here in Cali. I got to see them last night at The Knitting Factory for the Imeem/Mozes show, so here's my gallery of Hey Monday from their gig at The Knitting Factory! (And yes, that redhead is Travis from We The Kings!) So meet Cassadee, Mike, Jersey, Elliot and Alex who are HEY MONDAY!

Two Worlds, One City // Venice Beach + Downtown LA
This past weekend I got two distinctly different visits in LA, Venice Beach (for the family shoot below) and Downtown LA (for a walk with Remy.) Here are my two different views of Los Angeles, an amazing city with so many different worlds within one bustling city of concrete and sand.

January Kids
Kid/Family shoot for the month of January was PJ and Malachy with Mommy and Mommy's BFF T down at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. It was an exciting day with newly rescued pup Remy, new sunglasses, new friends, and dipping tiny toes into the pacific for a whole new world of exploring seashells and watching the birds. Oh, and don't forget the oversized cups of yum!

Forgotten Ohio II: The East Bank of the Flats
More Forgotten Ohio in the soon-to-be gentrified East Bank of the Flats in Cleveland. Some unique architecture and abandoned buildings in downtown Cleveland
Edit: If you want to see what's going to happen to all of this beautiful architecture, check out this website. It's so sad that it's going to be turned from that beautiful old architecture to that fake Vegas grossness... They're not keeping any of the integrity of the old architecture or anything, just making it all look modern and... I dunno, it's just not the same.

Forgotten Ohio I: Astorhurst + Lakeview Cemetery
For the first part of my Forgotten Ohio series, I shot at Astorhurst Golf Club at Lakeview Cemetery. Lakeview Cemetery is often overlooked as a place of interest in Cleveland because, well, it's a Cemetery, but it's home to some of the most beautiful sculptural art in Cleveland and some of the area's most famous dead including President James Garfield and John D. Rockefeller.
